We just completed our first gig of the year – the Kent Garden show at Detling showground. We had to play 6 sets overall across the two days, and all in the baking heat!

First time out with our new MD, Jonathan Crowhurst. We played quite a variety of numbers, including:

• Creep (Radiohead) & Superman (John Williams)

Quite an obvious segue the MD says… sounds of the flugel declaring ‘I don’t belong here…’ were plaintive!

• Got to get you into my life (Earth, Wind & Fire)

As the MD says… “if you don’t have any Earth, Wind & Fire in your life, why not?”
